Cooney Lai has over 20 years working as an innovative hair stylist based in Hong Kong. He studied at Vidal Sassoon Academy. With unique visions and touches, his style demonstrates a good balance between beauty and creativity.

 

Cooney is currently a creative force within the hair and beauty industries, working on runway shows for Dolce & Gabbana, Hong Kong Fashion Week, campaigns for Pepsi, Bossini, Urban Declay, Joyce, Dove, G2000, N12H, Landmark, Harvey Nichols, Adidas, Anderne, Rumi Yoga, and many more.

Prior to being a hair team supervisor of Macau Studio City hotel grand opening show in 2015.

His works seen in major publications including Vogue Hong Kong, Hashtag Legend, Hong Kong Tatler, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Harper Bazaar. Cooney has been credited for the hair styles featured on celebrities' CD album covers for prominent Hong Kong singers such as G.E.M, Gladys Li, Angela Yuen, Kay Tse, C All Star, and Serrini.

He also began to explore art and photography to cultivate his aesthetics. Painting and photography has been his long-term hobbies.
